'55 Chevrolet cont'd...

More progress on my '55 Chevrolet piece! The chrome details are really starting to shine — literally. Capturing reflective surfaces in coloured pencil is one of my favorite challenges.

The key is observing all the subtle color variations in the reflections. What looks like "silver" is actually made up of blues, purples, greens, and warm tones all blended together.

Getting closer to completion on this one!
